Concepts & Services Consulting in the person of Gangolf Feiter has joined ISO TC204 ITS Working Groups in 2008. Thomas Loosen has joined ISO TC204 ITS in 2011. Both are proactively involved in the development and drafting of new standards which specify the Nomadic Device (Smartphone) interface to the IVN (In-Vehicle Network). This goal has been achieved with the new ISO 13185 UGP (Unified Gateway Protocol) series standards, which is based on proven ISO 8824 and ISO 8825 ASN.1 technology.

V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) communication is the passing of information from a vehicle to any entity that may affect the vehicle, and viceversa. It is a vehicular communication system that incorporates other more specific types of communication as V2I (Vehicle-to-Infrastructure), V2V (Vehicle-to-vehicle), V2P (Vehicle-to-Pedestrian), V2D (Vehicle-to-device) and V2G (Vehicle-to-grid).
Vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) is an automobile technology designed to allow automobiles to “talk” to each other. The systems will use a region of the 5.9 GHz band set aside by the United States Congress in 1999, the unlicensed frequency also used by WiFi. Vehicle-to-grid (V2G) describes a system in which plug-in electric vehicles, such as electric cars (BEVs) and plug-in hybrids (PHEVs), communicate with the power grid to sell demand response services by either returning electricity to the grid or by throttling their charging rate. V2D (Vehicle-to-Device) communication is a particular type of vehicular communication system that consists in the exchange of information between a vehicle and any electronic device that may be connected to the vehicle itself. |
